Dr. Jayachandran moved to Fort Worth to join Fort Worth Heart from Indianapolis where he completed his Internal medicine, Cardiology, and Cardiac Electrophysiology training at the world renowned Krannert Institute of Cardiology. He remained on the faculty at the Indiana University School of Medicine for four years as Assistant Professor involved in clinical practice, teaching of cardiac fellows, and research in his field.
Dr. Jayachandran’s philosophy is to provide world class, cutting edge cardiac therapy of heart rhythm problems right here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. On a personal level, he believes in “family based” medicine- i.e. - do for your patients what you would for your own family.
Dr. Jayachandran maintains a comprehensive practice in this specialized field by continuing to be involved in academics, ongoing research, teaching, and involvement in the editorial review process for two of the most prestigious medical journals in his field. To keep abreast of the latest developments in his field, he also participates in major national meetings in his field and spends time in advanced cardiac labs around the world (Ann Arbor, San Francisco, Milan Italy, and Bordeaux France).
Outside of his work life Dr Jayachandran enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and yellow Labrador Retriever!
